Why in the hell does my skin hate me?

Irritated skin

Why in the hell does my skin hate me? Is this a question you ask yourself every single time you try out a new product? Without fail, every darn time you try something new, your skin feels like it was put in an oven at 500 degrees. It is maddening. You want to use the right products on your face. You want to age gracefully, but you have resorted to doing nothing.

If this is you, there is a reason your skin is responding this way. You just need to figure out what is triggering your skin to be such a jerk. That is where the estheticians at Linde Esthetics come in.

Your first step to healthy skin is having a thorough skin consultation. This consultation is more than 5 questions about yourself and what products you use. Actually, there are 2 or more forms that you will be required to complete. The first one is a form that every client at Linde Esthetics is required to complete. This covers all the basics: medical history, OTC and prescription medications taken in the last 6 months, allergies, and occupation. The second form is a facial questionnaire that covers what your skin concerns are as well as what products you currently use on your skin, and how you spend your days. If you are experiencing a lot of breakouts too, the acne questionnaire will also be used.

The next step is an exploratory facial. After cleansing your skin, select products will be used to determine what, if any, products you are reactive to. While this can be a pleasant experience as a whole, there will most likely be moments when your skin will let you know it isn’t happy. This will be the base point for all future treatments and home care.

Lastly, recommendations will be made for not only the home care regime, but professional treatments to heal your skin. It’s not simple. It’s not easy, but you too can have healthy skin.
