Reiki is an ancient Japanese energy healing technique. It’s a complementary health approach that is used alongside traditional healing practices. Reiki does not directly cure diseases or illnesses. Instead, it’s used as a way to manage symptoms and improve general well-being. It helps balance our system, engages our inner resources, and moves us toward a place of wellness.
Unlike many other complementary practices, Reiki sessions treat the whole person. A treatment balances, and as a result clients often report release or relief from unwanted symptoms. Clients often report a reduction in pain, nausea, anxiety, stress, and fatigue, as well as an increase in overall feelings of peace, well-being, letting go, freedom, support, connection, balance, and release.
During a reiki session, the practitioner places their hands either directly on you or just above you to bring about healing. The practitioner is able to stimulate your body’s natural healing abilities.
